Course Description: 2023 Tax Preparation
Our course is designed to give you the knowledge needed to fulfill IRS requirements and give you a basic understanding of tax law and practice to ensure you serve your clients with the highest quality. This study material has been organized to give line-by-line instructions for Form 1040.

How to prepare a federal individual tax return

Course Objective: This course provides entry-level tax education, which consists of 40 hours of Federal Income Tax instruction.

Course Textbook (not required but is recommended for people who prefer the paper copy. You will have chapter eBooks in your online course. The textbook has an extra cost of $68).

Additional Requirements:
Log in to class on time and stay the entire time; attendance is also a pass/fail requirement.
All homework is done online and is expected to be completed before the assigned class time.
Tests are also done online and have the same pass/fail requirements.
Personal communication devices must be on silent mode during class time.

Dress modestly while on zoom with the camera on
Personal use of office equipment is prohibited.

Methodology: The course is taught using reading, homework assignments, class exercises, practice client interviews, and instructor lectures. The course is both interactive and self-study.

PASS/FAIL: Certificates of completion will be issued to those students achieving a final grade of 70% or better. Complete the online course during the classroom timeframe. Instructor support may not be available after this timeframe.

Student Responsibilities
Class starts and ends on time
If you are as late to class, sit quietly and do not interrupt
If you need to use the restroom, do so quietly, you don’t have to ask
Raise your hand if you would like to ask a question
No visitors
Use of electronics: laptops, iPads, tablets, phones, etc.
If you miss a class, you are responsible for the content of that class.
If you do not complete the course during the specified time, you can continue the course as a self-study
